RtTech and Populus Global CEOs Place in EY’s Awards Finals

Accelerating growth, driving innovation and building a strong legacy are what Canadian entrepreneurs do, every day. This year, EY is celebrating the achievements of entrepreneurial stars in the Atlantic region through the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program. NBIF-backed CEOs Pablo Asiron of RtTech Software and Tristan Rutter of Populus Global Solutions placed in the finals for “Emerging Entrepreneur” and “Information Technology Entrepreneur” respectively.

RtTech sells software tools that allow big industry to find and fix problems that cause downtime and energy overuse throughout their automated production systems. Since inception in 2012, the company has installed its technology in 22 countries around the world and growing. Populus Global's Health Information System has emerged as the World Health Organization's Health Metrics Network as a best practice solution for developing countries. Their comprehensive system enables effective centralized management of national, regional, or local health sectors.

All 28 finalists were chosen by an independent panel of judges. One of the category winners will be named the overall Atlantic winner to compete with the Pacific, Prairie, Quebec and Ontario regions for Canada's 2015 Entrepreneur Of The Year. The Canadian winner goes on to complete for EY's World Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2016.

The 2015 Atlantic EY Entrepreneur Of The Year will be announced at a gala on October 8, 2015 in St. John's, NF.
