EM&I and Inversa Systems Present BCT at Chevron NDE & Pipeline Forum
EM&I were invited by Chevron to present and exhibit at the Chevron NDE and Pipeline Forum in Houston Texas. This was an invitation only event hosted by Chevron and EM&I were pleased to share the stage with Inversa Systems to talk about Backscatter Computer Tomography (BCT) equipment.
EM&I have signed an exclusive Strategic Technology Alliance Agreement (STAA) with Inversa Systems for the further development of the BCT technology for use in the offshore oil and gas industry
BCT technology provides a potential solution for non-intrusive inspection of insulated pressure vessels, subsea pipelines, risers and flexible risers, wire rope mooring systems and offloading equipment, amongst other prospects.
EM&I and Inversa Systems are continuing the development of BCT with both parties leading the way in this new technology that will provide potential solutions for detecting degradation and failure modes in equipment that has access from one side.
Danny Constantinis (CEO EM&I Alliance) commented “We are pleased to be working with Inversa Systems and to continue EM&I’s history of developing innovative technology solutions to challenging issues. We are continuing the development of BCT to ensure its viability in the offshore environment”
