NBIF Releases 2016-17 Annual Report

Innovation – a key priority for New Brunswick!

The New Brunswick Innovation Foundation ended our 2016-17 fiscal year with a bang! The Province of New Brunswick renewed its funding commitment to NBIF, we held our most successful Breakthru competition to date (over 140 aspiring entrepreneurs!), and our Innovation Voucher Fund has been gaining more and more momentum with our NB SMEs.

We’re pleased to release our 2016-17 Annual Report that recaps our successes for the fiscal year.

Key highlights of our report:

• Increased investment in Applied Research & Venture Capital
• Over $1 MILLION awarded to 4 new startups at Breakthru Live 2017
• More than 45 active companies in our portfolio
• Over $50 MILLION in leveraged capital
