David Themens wins prestigious international science award

David Themens has been recognized as one of the top young minds in the world, earning the International Union of Radio Science Young Scientist Award.

At 25, Themens is one of the younger recipients of the award, which is awarded to a handful of budding international scientists every three years.

His research into mapping the earth's ionosphere is what caught the attention of the international judges.

“I was surprised,” says Themens.

“This usually goes to people who are the midst of their careers.”
