Breakthru Partners Add $206,000 To Prize Pot
Fourteen organizations have contributed $315,000 in support of New Brunswick Innovation Foundation’s Breakthru competition. Co-presented by Cox & Palmer, Breakthru is a bi-annual competition open to all New Brunswick residents that want to create their own startup company.
Of the total, $86,000 in professional services will be awarded, plus up to $120,000 from the NB Growth program. Adding the $200,000 in cash investments from NBIF puts the total prize pot for this year’s Breakthru to a record $406,000, making it the largest competition of its kind in Canada.
Participants can enter the competition by submitting a two-page summary of their business proposition, a 60-second video pitch and an application before December 20th, 2012. There's lots of time left, so help people get started. The three winners will be announced at the Breakthru Awards Dinner at the Delta Fredericton Hotel, on March 20th, 2013.
