NBIF Welcomes Daniel Armali as Vice President, Investments

The New Brunswick Investment Foundation (NBIF) is pleased to announce that Daniel Armali will be joining the organization as Vice President, Investments, effective October 20, 2025.  Recently relocated from Montreal, Daniel brings over 15 years of experience in venture capital, fund investments, and multi-asset portfolio strategy to New Brunswick.

“NBIF has built a strong engine for translating innovation into growth,” shared Daniel Armali. “I’m excited to work with founders, investors, and the NBIF team to build on that energy and shape a future economy defined by innovation, strong returns, and lasting impact for the province.”

A CFA charterholder and MBA, Daniel has a proven track record in structuring complex financings, leading due diligence, and advising founders and executive teams on growth and capital planning. He has held senior roles in both public and private markets, including as Partner at a leading venture capital impact firm, at BDC Capital where he oversaw $850 million in fund investments and managed a portfolio of 22 venture funds, and at the Bank of Canada where he worked within its internal pension fund managing a multi-asset class fund-of-funds portfolio. Daniel as deep expertise in designing and managing dual mandates that balance financial performance with strategic or impact objectives. His leadership experience spans direct investing, fund of funds management, portfolio strategy, and institutional capital formation.

As a member of the NBIF Leadership Team, Daniel will oversee the organization’s investment professionals and work directly with emerging startups, portfolio companies, and limited partners to advance NBIF’s mandate and strategy to invest in the creation and growth of New Brunswick tech companies.
